As a first step in developing a future strategy for our department, I'd be keen to hear your answers to, and thoughts on, the following open-ended questions. 

  • How can we enhance and facilitate collaboration in research and teaching? 
  • How can we properly evaluate research contributions (with focus on quality over quantity)? 
  • How can we properly assess teaching quality?
  • How can we support each of you in setting yourselves ambitious goals?
  • How can we improve our research culture and environment? 
  • Career development: 
    • How can we help each other to succeed? 
    • Are our expectations clear at every career stage?

Call for elevator pitches: Timetable spring 2021
